My name is Ron Sutton, owner of Rising Star Entertainment. We are DJ and Karaoke Specialists. We have been around for about 15 years now and we have become one of the areas most recommended DJ' and KJ's. We are continuously learning new ideas and technology from DJ conventions across the country and frequently updating our libraries to give you latest in hits for your event.

A little about myself, I have a BA degree in Music Education with a Voice Major at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. I was a former teacher years ago, and am a U.S. Navy veteran. I love to sing professionally, and with a degree in Music, I play several instruments.

Speaking of singing. one added service I offer that other DJ services don't is that I could also sing for your wedding ceremony, if you desire an extraordinary singer. I have my first CD coming out late this fall.

Over the years, I have discovered that the bigger the DJ company, the lower the quality of DJ's. Some big DJ companies have their friends and relatives who have only months of experience working for them. Some companies can do 20-30 weddings on one night. What do you think the chances are that they have all the Best DJ’s money can buy, all within one company? And if you don’t know who’s entertaining your event from that company, you could end up with a 17 year-old teenager looking for some practice at your event.

We use nothing but state-of-the-art equipment, cordless mikes, and great lighting.

Rising Star loves to get the audience involved, but we DO NOT go overboard. It's about getting your guests motivated from the first song till the lights go down. We truly believe in 2 things: By doing an event the way you see pictured, you’re going to recommend us to everybody. Second, "you get what you pay for" as the saying goes. You don't want to be too skimpy when considering a DJ. When shopping around, ask for some references of clients they’ve entertained in the last month or so. Anyone can give you a reference from a wedding they did 2 years ago.

Remember, years later your guests are not going to necessarily remember the color of your invitations or if you had balloons or not, but they WILL remember the entertainment… GOOD OR BAD!

With all that said, You will find that Rising Star is one of the most reasonably priced DJ's in the area...and you WILL remember the fun your going to have for years to come.
