We originally hired someone else to be our wedding reception D.J. About six weeks before our wedding day, we found out there was an error in booking and another D.J. would be taking his place. That “replacement D.J.” was Ron Sutton of “Rising Star.”

Not having any idea who Ron was, we were upset about the change in plans. After contacting him, we went to “check him out” at his regular weekend karaoke spot, and found ourselves in awe!

We arrived early, without introducing ourselves, and sat back to observe Ron in action. He started the night off by singing the first song himself. I’ve been singing all of my life, and find myself quite critical of other singers (or those who think they can sing), but there was absolutely nothing to criticize! He opened his mouth, and my jaw hit the floor! I was mesmerized!! He has an incredible voice!! We sat back and enjoyed the remainder of the evening, all the while hoping Ron would sing another song himself! By the end of the evening, we finally introduced ourselves and told him we’d definitely be back to see him before the wedding!And we did just that, every chance we got!

Eight days before the wedding we received another distressing phone call. The “quartet” we had scheduled to sing at the church during the ceremony cancelled! We were without vocalists at the church! After initially panicking, I remembered Ron’s incredibly awesome voice and immediately picked up the phone to beg! He graciously agreed to sing at the church on VERY short notice, and it couldn’t have been a better choice! He did a fantastic job at the church, AND at the reception! We were married on June 24, 2006, and our guests are STILL talking about how great he was and what a good time they had!! Our wedding and reception would not have been the perfect day it was without Ron’s contribution! Not only did he save us from near disaster at the last minute, but he made our special day just that much more memorable for everyone involved!

We can never thank him enough for his flexibility and kindness! His contribution was beyond compare! He’s professional without being “stuffy,” extremely gifted and talented, and just an all around great person in general!! We are proud to now call him our friend, and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND him for ANY occasion!!
